The Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NASJAX) warehousing division provides logistics support services for squadron aircraft, as well as shore activities, base facilities, schools, and tenant commands attached to or located at NASJAX. Our logistics service operation at the installation includes materials receipt, issue, stowing, and delivery. Akima also provides management, contract administration, parts accountability and rolling inventory, reports, and records maintenance, including stock receipts and various forms associated with issues, receipts, deliveries, damage, and expended shelf life.

Defense Distribution Center, Cherry Point, NC
Akima performs the preservation, packaging, packing, and marking (PPP&M) function at Cherry Point. We provide container reclamation support and fabrications support for a variety of containers. We maintain property in storage, ensuring proper and approved packaging techniques.

Defense Distribution Center, San Diego, CA
Akima performs receipt, storage, issue, and packaging functions at Naval Air Station, North Island. Our work encompasses warehousing and distribution of materials used by the aviation wing on the facility. We process requisitions, receive property, and maintain not only this warehouse location but also an outside storage area for aircraft engines. We provide storage for classified materials and perform PPP&M.

Akima provides logistics and supply support services atBarstow. which comprises 732,000 square feet of warehouse space and over 1 million square feet of outside storage areas. The depot provides logistics support for the U.S. military 24/7, with an inventory of 74,000 items valued at over $3.8 billion dollars. Akima is responsible for inventory accuracy, shelf-life management, and care of supplies in storage. Akima receives, stores, packages, and designs and builds containers to specifications for military use, crates and moves material with all manner of material handling equipment, and prepares shipping documents. We serve transportation destinations worldwide. Akima’s Quality Control/Customer Support Planenables us to exceed acceptable performance levels through internal compliance surveillances.
